The Begining
TraitX began in 2024 after our team ran into a problem many businesses know too well: hiring people who looked great on paper but did not stay or succeed in the role. We tested different hiring tools, but they did not give us the clarity or consistency we needed. That experience led us to build our own solution, starting as Job Simulation and later rebranding to TraitX as the platform grew into a more complete hiring system.
Founder
TraitX was founded by Jim Coleman, an entrepreneur with a track record of building, scaling, acquiring, and advising SaaS companies and service businesses. Over the years, Jim has helped grow multiple businesses across operations, customer success, retention, and long-term value creation. His experience includes co-owning and scaling SaaS products, supporting operational growth across dozens of companies, leading portfolio success in SaaS-focused investment environments, and building businesses through acquisition, exit, and reacquisition. That background shaped TraitX into a platform designed to help organizations hire more effectively, reduce costly mis-hires, and build stronger teams.
